A fictional character has (literally) unearthed objects which quickly enter into markets beyond that of the finder’s control. The Imro Sequence borrows its name from Walter Benjamin’s Ibizan Sequence, which includes a text about excavation and memory. In this text, Benjamin asserts that one must have the courage to search, dig and take an inventory of oneself. This metaphor of digging for one’s self/ cultural identity takes on multiple meanings in this work.
